The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Digital Innovation Challenge 2026, now in its 2nd Edition, is inviting young entrepreneurs, innovators, startups, teams, and enterprises across Africa to submit innovative digital solutions that can help advance intra-African trade.
Organized by the AfCFTA Secretariat, the challenge focuses on digital innovations that address existing barriers to cross-border trade and contribute to the implementation of the AfCFTA Protocol on Digital Trade and the Protocol on Women and Youth in Trade.
The initiative aims to identify, nurture, and showcase innovative solutions that can contribute to the development of an integrated African Digital Market.

Applicant Qualifications Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be 18 to 35 years old.
- Open to individuals, teams, startups, and enterprises from an African Union Member State.
- Proposed digital solutions must address existing barriers to cross-border trade.
- Solutions must contribute to the implementation of the AfCFTA.
- The proposed solution must be at the operational to scaling phase.
