Overview
The Ministry of Education, in partnership with UN Women Liberia, is inviting girls and young women aged 15–24 to apply for the Liberia Girls Can Code Initiative Pilot Coding Camp 2026.
The program will select 250 participants from:
Lofa County
Bong County
Margibi County
Grand Bassa County
Maryland County
Participants will receive training in:
Coding
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Cybersecurity
Digital Entrepreneurship
Leadership
The program will also provide mentorship from women working in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
No previous coding experience is required. Applicants need curiosity, commitment, and an interest in developing digital skills.
The initiative will run for approximately 6–8 months, including a 10-day intensive bootcamp.
Applicant Qualifications Requirements
Must be a girl or young woman aged 15–24.
Must be from one of the five participating counties.
No prior coding experience is required.
Must demonstrate curiosity, commitment, and interest in digital skills.
Must be willing to participate throughout the program.
