Overview
The Ministry of Education, Republic of Liberia, is recruiting qualified young Liberians to serve as Youth Field Monitoring Interns under the Public School Monitoring Project (PSMP).
The project aims to strengthen real-time monitoring of public schools across Liberia through timely, accurate, and verifiable school-level data collection.
Selected interns will help monitor schools, collect education-related data, verify school locations, assess school quality, and report critical issues affecting education service delivery.
Applicant Qualifications Requirements
Applicants must:
Be a Liberian citizen aged 18–35 years.
Have a high school diploma with WAEC/WASSCE certificate.
Possess basic computer and digital literacy skills.
Be able to use Android tablets and mobile applications.
Demonstrate strong communication, integrity, and professionalism.
Be willing to travel within an assigned county or district.
College students may also apply.
Experience with KoboCollect or Google Forms is an advantage.
Knowledge of local communities and the ability to speak local languages are advantages.
Key Responsibilities
Selected interns will:
Conduct routine monitoring visits to assigned public schools.
Collect data on teacher attendance, student enrollment, learning conditions, WASH, and school feeding.
Support school geo-mapping and verify school locations.
Monitor school quality and identify priority gaps.
Track Back-to-My-Classroom and adult literacy activities.
Submit digital reports on time using approved tablets and tools.
Immediately report critical incidents and school-level concerns.
Duration & Support
Assignment duration: 6 months, one academic term, or the applicable project cycle.
Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend.
Transportation and communication support may be provided where applicable.
