Overview
Guaranty Trust Bank (Liberia) Ltd. is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to serve as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
The CFO will provide strategic financial leadership, oversee budgeting and financial planning, strengthen financial controls and reporting, and work closely with executive management, regulators, auditors, and other stakeholders.
Applicant Qualifications Requirements
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent certification.
• A Master's degree (MBA, MSc Finance, MSc Accounting, Economics, or related field) is an added advantage.
Experience
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role within the banking or financial services industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in:
IFRS financial reporting
Regulatory compliance
• Treasury management
• Capital management
• Budgeting and financial planning
• Risk management
• Corporate governance
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, strategic planning, analytical, and communication skills.
• Must satisfy all applicable fit-and-proper requirements prescribed by the banking regulator.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the Bank's financial control strategy.
Advise Executive Management on financial performance, capital planning, and strategic financial initiatives.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Monitor financial performance against approved budgets.
Drive improvements in financial processes, reporting standards, and governance.
Build and lead a high-performing Finance team.
Develop finance talent through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, regulators, auditors, and external partners.
