Overview
Concern Worldwide is seeking a Gender Equality & Social Inclusion (GESI) Technical Advisor to provide technical leadership on gender equality, social inclusion, disability inclusion, protection, safeguarding, and related programming across its Liberia operations.
The successful candidate will support the implementation and monitoring of Concern Liberia’s GESI strategy and help integrate GESI principles into programs covering food security, livelihoods, nutrition, WASH, education, and climate resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and monitoring of Concern Liberia’s GESI strategy.
- Integrate gender equality, disability inclusion, protection, and safeguarding principles across programs.
- Conduct GESI assessments and support social norms transformation initiatives.
- Facilitate participatory workshops and social norms transformation modules, including We Are One community engagement tools.
- Provide technical training, coaching, and guidance to staff and partner organizations.
- Support gender-based violence (GBV) risk mitigation and safeguarding initiatives.
- Strengthen gender-sensitive monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) systems.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with government ministries, civil society organizations, and international partners.
Applicant Qualifications & Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Human Rights, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive professional experience in GESI, women's empowerment, safeguarding, protection, human rights, or a related area.
- Strong knowledge of GESI analysis and gender mainstreaming.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating participatory workshops and training.
- Experience with transformative methodologies such as We Are One and Reflect is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, coordination, and partnership-building skills.
